Terms of Service

Last updated October 26, 2026

These terms cover your use of KIS Network Manager (the “Service”), run by Keep IT Simple, LLC (“KIS”, “we”, “us”). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to them. If your organization has a written agreement with KIS that covers the Service, that agreement takes priority wherever it differs from these terms.

Who can use the Service

The Service is for KIS clients and the people they authorize. You may use it only with an account set up for you by KIS or by your organization's administrator, and only on behalf of that organization.

Your account

  • Keep your password and authenticator app to yourself. Accounts are for one person and must not be shared.
  • You're responsible for what's done with your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • Your organization's administrators decide who has access and what each person can do, and should remove access for people who leave.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • try to get into accounts, information or parts of the Service you haven't been given access to, including other organizations' information;
  • test, scan or probe the Service for weaknesses, or get around its security, without KIS's written permission;
  • disrupt or overload the Service, or upload anything harmful, such as viruses;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service, or use automated tools to collect data from it, except through features KIS provides;
  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or to store information you don't have the right to store.

Your organization's information

Your organization owns the information it puts into the Service. It gives KIS permission to store, process, back up and display that information as needed to provide and support the Service, and for no other purpose. Your organization is responsible for the accuracy of what it enters and for having the right to enter it. The Service lets administrators export their information at any time. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Network scanners

If KIS provides network scanning software, install it only on networks your organization owns or is authorized to scan, and only up to the number of scanners your organization is licensed for. KIS may disable scanners that are over that number or that are being misused.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance or because of problems outside our control. We may improve or change the Service over time. If a change takes away something your organization relies on, we'll try to give it reasonable notice.

Confidentiality

KIS treats your organization's information as confidential and uses it only to provide the Service and support. Please treat any non-public information about the Service in the same way.

KIS's property

The Service, including its software, design and content (other than your organization's information), belongs to KIS or its licensors. These terms give you the right to use the Service while your organization's access continues; they don't transfer any ownership.

Disclaimer

The Service is a documentation tool. It shows the information that has been entered or collected, and doesn't check that it matches how your network is actually set up. Check important details before making changes to your network. Except as stated in a written agreement with your organization, the Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, KIS isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from use of the Service. KIS's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount your organization paid KIS for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Suspension and ending access

KIS may suspend or end access to the Service for anyone who breaks these terms or whose use puts the Service or other users at risk. Your organization's administrators can remove users at any time. When your organization's use of the Service ends, its information is handled as described in its agreement with KIS and our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let your organization know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
